Contest rules and regulations “In October, let’s celebrate Registered Veterinary Technicians”

  

1. ORGANIZER: The sponsor of this contest is CDMV inc. (“Organizer” or the « Contest Organizer»)

2. CONTEST PERIOD: The contest will take place during the following period:

1. 1. Contest begins:
      Date: Wednesday October 1, 2025
      Time: 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET)

   2. Contest ends:
      Date: Friday October 31, 2025
      Time: 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET)

3. ELIGIBILITY:

The Contest is open to residents of Canada, who are at least the age of majority in their province or territory of residence. The Contest is not open to the administrators, directors, officers, employees, representatives, agents, and delegates of the Contest Oganizer, of any company, trust, or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated with them, as well as the immediate family members of the aforementioned persons or individuals residing with them (whether or not they are related).

4. HOW TO ENTER:
To enter, participants can choose from the following two options:

1. Option 1 (online): Complete and submit the registration form available on the website https://www.cdmv.com/rvt-month/ during the contest period. Limit of one entry per person for the online form submission method.
2. Option 2 (Facebook):
   1. Subscribe to the CDMV Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/cdmv.inc, and
   2. Comment on the contest post "The RVT Month contest!" by tagging at least one person, and
   3. Publicly share the contest post.

Each participant may only submit one entry per option. Each participant can combine options 1 and 2 to get two chances to win.

5. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY:
No purchase is required to participate.

6. PRIZES:
A total of four (4) prizes will be awarded randomly across the announced territory.   

• One (1) Sony noise-cancelling headset (value of $400)
• One (1) prepaid MasterCard gift card (value of $250)
• One (1) Littmann Classic III stethoscope (value of $175.46)
• One (1) Paint My Pooch gift card to create a personalized phone case (value: $100)

Each prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, assigned, or exchanged for cash (unless explicitly authorized by the Contest Organizer, at their sole discretion)

Chances of winning and number of prizes. The chances of winning a prize depend on the number of entries received during the contest period.

7. DRAW:

• Date of draw: Tuesday November 4, 2025
• Time of draw: 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET)

Four (4) entries will be randomly drawn from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will take place at the headquarters of CDMV Inc in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec.

8. HOW TO CLAIM PRIZES:
In order to be declared a winner, any selected participant must:

1. Be contacted by phone or email, at the sole discretion of the Contest Organizer, within 48 hours following the draw. In the event that a selected participant does not respond within 14 days of the draw, they will be disqualified from the contest and deemed to have forfeited the prize, and the contest Organizer may then, at their sole discretion, randomly select another participant from the eligible entries. The winners assume all risks of loss or damage to the prizes or arising from them after delivery;
2. Sign the Declaration and Release Form provided by the Contest Organizer and return it within 15 days of receiving it;
3. The prize will be sent within a maximum of 30 days following the end of the Contest.

 

Should the selected participant fail to comply with any of the conditions mentioned in these rules or refuse their prize, they will be disqualified. In such a case, the Contest Organizer may, at its discretion, cancel the prize or conduct a new draw from the remaining eligible entries until a participant is selected and declared the winner. If no participant is declared the winner within sixty (60) days following the original draw, the prize will be canceled.

Refusal to accept a prize. The refusal of a selected participant to accept a prize according to the terms of these rules releases the Contest Organizer from any obligation related to that prize towards that person.

Awarding of prizes. No prize will be awarded until the winner has been confirmed. No prize is transferable. It must be accepted as is, with no cash substitution or otherwise, except at the sole discretion of the Organizer. The Organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize (or part of the prize) with one of the same nature and equivalent value or, at its sole discretion, the monetary value of the prize (or part of the prize) as indicated in these rules.

Prize claim costs. All costs or expenses incurred by the winners in relation to claiming or using a prize are the responsibility of the winners.

Limited prizes. In all cases, the Contest Organizer cannot be required to award more prizes or award a prize in any manner other than in accordance with these rules.

 

9. GENERAL CONDITIONS:

FRAUD: Any attempt by a participant or another person to damage any website or interfere with the legitimate operation of this promotion, including but not limited to any fraudulent claim, constitutes a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, the Contest Organizer reserves the right to seek any remedies and damages allowed by law, including criminal prosecution. Participants involved in the aforementioned activities may be disqualified and will forfeit any prizes won.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By participating in this contest, the winner acknowledges that the Contest Organizer: (i) assumes no responsibility of any kind with regard to the contest and/or the awarding or use of the prize, (ii) makes no warranties or representations of any kind regarding the prize, (iii) disclaims any implied warranties, and (iv) is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from the acceptance or use of the prize and/or related travel by the participant, or otherwise from the participant's involvement in this contest.

CANCELLATION, SUSPENSION, OR MODIFICATION OF THE CONTEST: The Contest Organizer and its affiliates may, at their sole discretion and without any liability, cancel, modify, or terminate this contest at any time, in whole or in part, without notice, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, in the event of fraud, technical failure, including any failure of the network server or computer hardware, any virus, bug, programming or communication error, or any other error or cause beyond the control of the Contest Organizer that compromises the administration, integrity, or security of the contest, or if any other factor interferes with the proper conduct of this contest as outlined herein. In the event of an early termination of the contest, a notice will be posted online, and a random draw will be conducted to award the prizes among all eligible entries received before the contest was terminated. In no case will the number of prizes awarded exceed the number of prizes stated herein.

The Contest Organizer is not responsible for typographical errors or other types of errors that may occur in the offer or administration of this contest, including, but not limited to, errors in advertising, the official rules, the selection and announcement of winners, the distribution of prizes, or technical issues with telephone network lines, online computer systems, servers or providers, hardware or software, viruses, bugs, failures of personal computers and/or hardware or software configuration, or the failure of the Contest Organizer or a participant to receive an email for any reason, including, but not limited to, internet traffic congestion or any website or a combination of these elements. The Contest Organizer is not responsible for any damage to a user's system caused by participation in this contest or by downloading any information required to participate in this contest.

In no event, including negligence, shall the Contest Organizer be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service, or arising from the breach of any warranty. This exclusion or limitation of liability does not apply to the extent that any applicable law prohibits such exclusion or limitation of liability.

This contest is subject to all applicable federal and provincial laws, as well as municipal regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Unless otherwise indicated by the participants, the personal information collected from participants as part of this contest will only be used by the Contest Organizer for the administration of the contest and will not be shared with any third parties.

DISPUTES: Any dispute regarding the organization or conduct of a promotional contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for resolution. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie solely for the purpose of assisting in its resolution.

In the event of any discrepancy between the English and French versions of these rules, the French version will prevail.
