2024 OVMA Honorary membership award
This award is presented by the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association to someone who is not a veterinarian but has contributed to animal welfare and/or the veterinary profession.
Who is Martha?
Martha Little, a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), has a bachelor’s degree in business administration (BBA), with a minor in sales and marketing. Well-known and respected in the Canadian animal health community, she has over 40 years’ experience as an RVT and a veterinary practice manager. Her professional background also includes nearly 12 years in the veterinary food industry prior to her arrival at CDMV in 2013 as Regional Sales Manager for Ontario and Western Canada, and in 2021, also for the Atlantic Provinces.
A gifted speaker and mentor, she is particularly valued for her pragmatic approach, combined with her passion for the veterinary field and a desire to contribute to the development of the industry by implementing best practices that promote the growth of veterinary practices.
Fun facts about Martha

She road in the jumper ring competitive both on the Ontario circuit and the A circuit for several years. Her horse’s name was Excalibur from the Knights of the Round Table. |

At one time, she shared her house with 3 golden retrievers, 3 cats, a cockatoo, a 6-foot Boa constrictor, 2 turtles and 2 guinea pigs with her two children and her husband. |

As a Girl Guide leader for 12 years, she once took their girls to Mexico to the World Guiding House. |
|
|
She is the proud grandmother of 5. |

|
With her husband she owns 3 Vintage travel trailers. |
|
|
She volunteers and teaches at GRACE in Owen Sound (Georgian Riding Association for Challenged Equestrians). |
