Your mission

Reporting to the Vice-President of Procurement, the Manager – Supplier Management is primarily responsible for the supplier selection, qualification and development process. He/she participates in the purchasing transformation plan, with a particular focus on supplier relationship management (SRM), strategic sourcing, supplier contract negotiation, spend analysis and reporting.

What you’d mainly be responsible for:

  • Support the implementation of procurement transformation plan to re-position the function to be a strategic business partner to deliver value to internal and external stakeholders
  • Implement Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program , manage supplier performance and further develop partnership leveraging supplier enabled continuous improvement and innovation opportunities
  • Develop comprehensive supplier performance scorecard as a tool to track supplier performance
  • Conduct business review with suppliers, align on shared objectives and identify mutual beneficial opportunities to improve cost / process efficiency
  • Develop spend analysis process and conduct a thorough assessment of the company’s full spend on direct/indirect goods & services to improve spend visibility and identify cost savings / cost avoidance opportunities
  • Lead supplier contract negotiation through effective partnering with suppliers, legal and business stakeholders
  • Lead ideation and implementation of sourcing strategies that deliver supply continuity, cost optimization and lead-time reduction
  • Play project manager role to ensure key strategic sourcing event and other procurement -lead cross functional projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Maintain savings tracker and prepare procurement KPIs dashboard
  • Maintaining a solid understanding of CDMVs strategy, vision, products, services and capabilities to successfully identify, plan and implement strategic opportunities

We would like to meet you if you have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering, specializing in supply management or other related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement roles with demonstrated track record of developing and leading supplier relationship management (SRM) program
  • At least 3 years experience of strategic sourcing and supplier contract negotiation;
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or veterinary distribution market or CPG market is strongly preferred;
  • knowledge of supply chain & operation management;
  • Practical experience of knowledge management, change management and project management (PMP certificate preferred);
  • Experience working with procurement systems (Ariba, Coupa, Smart by GEP etc);
  • Experience in B2B, B2C and e-Commerce;
  • Excellent analytical and financial acumen including cost analysis, forecasting and scenario analysis
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Bilingualism in oral and written form (French and English) is preferred;
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office suite
