Contest Rules and Regulations



The Contest is sponsored by CDMV Inc. (“Organizer” or the “Contest Organizer”)


The Contest will take place during the following period:

Beginning of the Contest:

  • Date: Friday, September 30, 2022
  • Time: 8:00 a.m.

End of the Contest

  • Date: Monday, October 31, 2022
  • Time: 10:00 p.m.


The Contest is open to residents of Canada only who have reached the legal age of majority as of the date of entry. To enter, participants must visit the CDMV Facebook page. They must like the CDMV page and then like and comment on the post. There is a limit of one contest entry per person, failure to do so may result in disqualification.

The following are excluded: directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives of the Contest Organizer, any company, trust or other legal entity controlled by or related to them, as well as members of the immediate family of the aforementioned persons or persons with whom they are domiciled (whether related or not).


No purchase is required to participate.


Three prizes will be awarded at random for the entire advertised territory.

  • 1st prize: gift card ($500 value)
  • 2nd prize: GoodFood gift card ($300 value)
  • 3rd Prize: Monthly Candy Box Subscription (duration, 1 year, value $300)

Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be substituted, exchanged or redeemed for cash.

Odds of winning and number of prizes. The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of entries received during the Contest Period.

6. DRAW:

  • Draw Date: Tuesday, November 1, 2022
  • Draw time: 10:00 a.m.

The draw takes place at the CDMV Inc. head office.

Draw details:

  • Random selection from all valid entries received during the contest period.


In order to be declared a winner, any selected entrant must:

(a) Be contacted by telephone or email, at the sole discretion of the Contest Organizer within 48 hours of the drawing. In the event that a selected entrant does not respond within 14 days of the draw, he/she will be disqualified and deemed to have forfeited the prize and the Contest Sponsors may, in their sole and absolute discretion, select another entrant by random draw from among the eligible entries. Winners assume all risk of loss or damage to or from the prizes after delivery;

  1. b) Sign the Declaration and Release Form provided by the Sponsor and return it to the Sponsor within 15 days of receipt;
  2. c) The prize will be sent within a maximum of 15 days following the end of the Contest.

Failure to comply with any of the conditions mentioned in these rules or to accept the prize will result in disqualification. In such a case, the Contest Organizer may, at its discretion, cancel the prize or conduct a new draw among the remaining eligible entries until an entrant is selected and declared a winner. If no entrant is declared a winner within sixty (60) days of the original draw, the prize will be forfeited.

Refusal to Accept Prize. A selected entrant’s refusal to accept a prize in accordance with these rules releases the Contest Sponsor from any and all obligations to that person in connection with that prize.

Awarding of Prizes. No prize will be awarded until the winner has been confirmed. No prize is transferable. It must be accepted as awarded without substitution of cash or otherwise, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of equal kind and value or, at its sole discretion, the cash value of the prize (or portion thereof) as set forth in these rules.

Prize Claim Costs. Any costs or expenses incurred by the winners in connection with claiming or using a prize are the responsibility of the winners.

Limited Prizes. In no event will the Contest Organizer be required to award more prizes or award a prize other than in accordance with these rules.


FRAUD: Any attempt by an entrant or other individual to damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion, including but not limited to any fraudulent claims, is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, the Contest Organizers reserve the right to seek any and all remedies and damages permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entrants who are involved in any of the above activities may be disqualified and forfeit any prize won.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By entering this Contest, the winner acknowledges that the Contest Organizers: (i) assume no liability whatsoever with respect to the Contest and/or the awarding or use of the prize, (ii) make no warranties or representations of any kind with respect to the prize (iii) disclaim all implied warranties, and (iv) are not responsible for any injury, loss or damage resulting from the entrant’s acceptance or use of the prize, and/or related travel, or otherwise from said entrant’s participation in this Contest.

CANCELLATION, SUSPENSION OR MODIFICATION OF THE CONTEST: The Contest Organizers and their affiliates may, in their sole discretion and without liability, cancel, modify or terminate this Contest at any time, in whole or in part, without prior notice, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, in the event of fraud, technical failure including any network server or hardware failure, virus, bug, programming or communication error or any other error or cause beyond the control of the Contest Organizers that corrupts the administration, integrity or security of the Contest, or if any other factor interferes with the conduct of this Contest as contemplated herein. In the event of early termination of the contest, a notice will be posted online and a random draw will be held to award the prizes from among all eligible entries received prior to the time the contest was terminated. In no event will the number of prizes awarded exceed the number of prizes stated herein.

The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including, without limitation, errors in advertising, the Official Rules, the selection and announcement of the winners, the distribution of the prizes, or technical problems with telephone network lines, computer online systems servers or providers, computer equipment or software, viruses, bugs, failure of a personal computer and/or hardware or software configuration, or failure of an email to be received by the Contest Organizers or an entrant for any reason, including, but not limited to, traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof. The Contest Organizer is not responsible for any damage to a user’s system caused by participating in this contest or by downloading any information required to enter this contest.

Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall the Contest Organizer be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages resulting from the use of or inability to use the service, or arising from the breach of any warranty. This exclusion or limitation of liability does not apply to the extent that any applicable law prohibits such exclusion or limitation of liability.

This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited by law.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Unless otherwise specified by entrants, personal information collected about entrants in connection with this Contest will be used solely by the Contest Organizers for the administration of the Contest and will not be shared with any third party.

DISPUTES: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.

In the event of a discrepancy between the English and French versions of these rules, the French version shall prevail.
