Valérie Geoffroy, RVT, VTS (Anesthesia & Analgesia)

Valérie graduated from Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe, where she earned her college diploma in Animal Health Technology in 2007. She successfully passed the national exam (ENTSA) in 2011, obtaining the title of Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). Valérie worked in general practice for over seven years before moving into emergency and specialty centres, driven by a strong motivation to specialize in anesthesia.

In 2019, she completed the U.S.-based training program titled “Principle Techniques of Small Animal Anesthesia, Perioperative Analgesia and Critical Care.” She subsequently earned her Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) designation in Anesthesia and Analgesia and has been a member of the Academy of Veterinary Technicians in Anesthesia and Analgesia (AVTAA) since 2021.

She has been working in referral centres in the Greater Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec City areas since 2016, primarily in the departments of specialty surgery, anesthesiology, and intensive care.
